Helm’s Deep – LOTRO
In an upcoming expansion that should have all Lord of the Rings Online fans excited, Turbine is pulling out all the stops in promoting Helm’s Deep. For the first time ever, LOTRO will allow players to participate in one of the most memorable battles in Middle-Earth, as well as play a prominent role in the events preceding it, including the rallying of the Rohirrim. But this expansion doesn’t just add a few quests tied to a well-known battle, there are major updates, and incentives to preorder of course. There are new maps to explore and they’re set in Rohan so you’ll be able to see and enjoy the magnificent landscapes that are reflective of the kingdom. Any player that is at least at level 10 (which is basically finishing the introductory area) can participate in all the quests in the Helm’s Deep expansion. Even if you’re already maxed out at level 85 there’s good news here for you too because this expansion raises the cap to level 95. And it’s not just a cosmetic change because there will be class upgrades complete with additional skills and traits and yes, there will be mounted combat.
LOTRO is a free-to-play MMO, and one that I enjoy, but the Helm’s Deep expansion pack will have to be purchased, and there’s a base edition and a premium edition. The premium edition includes the following bonuses:
- Armour of the Hammerhand – an exclusive full set of Rohirrim cosmetic armour
- +10 quest log slots
- Crystal of Remembrance – adds one additional legacy to your legendary weapon
- Helm’s Deep Title – Helm’s Enforcer
- Helm’s Deep Title – Helm’s Avenger
- 2000 Turbine points
The base edition has a few bonuses as well:
- Enforcer fo Helm – Exclusive In-Game Rohirrim Title
- 1000 Turbine Points
- Hauberk of the Hammerhand – Exclusive Rohirrim cosmetic chest piece
The Helm’s Deep expansion will be available November 18th.
