Batman: Arkham Knight
In news that got me extremely excited while at the same time making these months feel long while waiting for it, the next Batman game has been announced and it’s titled Batman: Arkham Knight. It will be set after the events of Arkham City so technically it’s the next entry in the Arkham series since origins was a prequel, and it’s also being developed by Rocksteady. So if neither the fact that Rocksteady is at the helm once again or that this is the true successor to Arkham City gets you excited for Arkham Knight then maybe some of the details released with the first trailer will. Kevin Conroy is back as the voice of the Dark Knight and of course there will be new gadgets, new ways to use those gadgets as well as combos and interesting situations and investigations but there’s also one major change that I love. The open city of Gotham will be much bigger than Arkham City and instead of just gliding around or using fast travel you will be able to drive in the Batmobile.
There is a story and as Batman you’ll have to contend with the likes of the Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and the Riddler being led by the Scarecrow who has created a new fear-inducing toxin that he plans on using on Gotham. But that’s not all as the title this time around doesn’t refer to Batman but a new character he has to contend with named the Arkham Knight. So check out the trailer below and even though making a Batman symbol on a wall using a flashlight won’t get you a copy early, it’s slated to be released later this year so you won’t have to wait too long.
