- Total score
Last issue was perhaps the toughest ordeal Zula Hendricks and Harris have dealt with so far. Along with Dr. Hollis they were forced to make the decision on how to deal with an infected space station. To keep the xenomorphs out of the greedy claws of Weyland-Yutani they are forced to destroy the base along with the Colonial Marines. But, in fending off a group of frisky facehuggers Dr. Hollis now finds herself impregnated in Aliens: Defiance #7.
“Well, this friggin sucks”, Hendricks exclaims upon hearing the news. I couldn’t have said it better. Now they must decide what to do next. Do they kill Harris? Do they remove it and exterminate it? Neither. The decision is made to attempt to remove it safely. With the Doctor and xenomorph intact. Hendricks, Harris, and Hollis want to study it. Learn how to defeat it more efficiently. If The Company wants to weaponize the alien, they will learn how to destroy it properly.
SUMMARY
As we begin the second story arc with Aliens: Defiance #7, it’s not looking any easier for Hendricks and Harris to accomplish their mission. Lots of questions still remain. Brian Wood has us all invested in the characters; seven issues in and we know their stories and pain. They are not just xenomorph fodder. The wait for the next issue seems longer after each issue.
