Now that the xenomorph was painfully extracted from Dr. Hollis, Davis and Hendricks must prepare for what’s next in Aliens: Defiance #8. The threats from the outside might be on hold for the moment, but the internal threats are not any less of a problem.
With the alien safely tucked away in the makeshift cryochamber and Dr. Hollis resting, the crew must focus on keeping the ship together. Of course, that is not all that they must contend with. Hendricks is constantly at war with herself about returning home, her doctor has guaranteed her safe passage and treatment. With the extreme back pain she deals with on a daily basis the temptation must be high. There is a clever Alien 3 nod here, and I hope some of you catch it. During one of these exchanges we also are treated to a flashback about her induction day that shows just how tough Hendricks is. It is a nice extra look into her character.

Look, I’m not doing this again. If you’re not reading Aliens: Defiance at this point I’m leaving a facehugger under your tree for Christmas. Stay frosty!
