First Look: The Death-Defying Doctor Mirage: Second Lives #2
Ever since the last Doctor Mirage series ended I’ve been looking forward to news about the next one because it ended with such great potential for the next story arc. So I was excited to receive a preview of the Death-Defying Doctor Mirage: Second Lives #2 and see Shan and Hwen back in action again. They were able to successfully defeat the organization threatening Linton March and be reunited. Well, considering Hwen is still dead he doesn’t have a corporeal form but his spirit is free and since Shan can communicate with the dead they’re still together constantly.
However, the status quo of this ghostly arrangement is threatened when their research leads to the discovery of an ancient spell that freed a malevolent spirit capable of massacring the living and the dead. And the only way they can undo this is by using another copy of the ancient spell but the only one that has it that is available to them is Linton March. Can Shan trust Linton March? And what has become of him during this time?
It’s interesting that the preview pages below are for the second issue and not the first but I really like the premise. The Mirages are one of the most enjoyable couples in comic books today due to the exciting stories crafted by Jen Van Meter. This series is set to launch in December
